How you can help

Friends of Relate

Friends of Relate are supporters of our service who are able to help either by giving a regular donation through Gift Aid, or would be interested in joining the Fundraising Committee. We also require the services of those who are able to offer practical help such as volunteer receptionists.

We welcome the involvement of anyone who can donate time, interest or money. Please contact the centre manager for more information.

You can support our fund raising and profile raising events throughout the year.

These include:

  • Concerts and musical events
  • Dinner dances
  • The Southampton Mela Festival
  • The Annual Great Sunday Lunch, Isle of Wight
  • The Arreton Gardens Open Day, Isle of Wight

Charity Bollywood Party held on Saturday 23rd January at the Southampton Park Hotel

'Over 100 guests attended a special fundraising event hosted by Relate Solent, the Relationship Counselling Charity. 

The evening was organised  by Relate Trustee Miss Satvir Kaur and included a fashion show given by Mr and Mrs Kuldip Singh of Kimi's Sari Shop, Bollywood dancing, Indian drumming and disco and there was an Asian style buffet. A henna tattoo artist was also there to adorn the hands of a number of guests. 

Guest of Honour, Relate Solent's patron, John Stephenson led some party games, and prizes were awarded for the most creative costumes.  Funds raised from this memorable evening will support Relate's counselling work with Families and Couples in the local community.'
